Welcome to the oldest surf house in town! We have been hosting travelers for over 25 years. During the last few years as we received more and more remote workers, we realized how much we love hosting people who are working remotely and staying for a bit longer.

Coliving with us in Ericeira
Located a stone's throw from the Matadouro surf break and a few minutes walk to the old Ericiera city center you find Blue Buddha Beach House. Just step through the gate and you enter a calm green oasis. Close to the buzzing center and everything you need for the perfect Coworksurf stay, but at the same time within a calming distance of it all.
From the rooftop chill-out area, you can check out the waves and decide exactly when it's the perfect moment to cross the street and jump into the best waves of the day. After the surf, you can cook up a delicious meal in the kitchen, light up the grill for a sunset bbq, or walk into town and sample one of the many delicious restaurants around.

As you probably already know by now, Ericeira is all about surfing. But even if you don't surf, or when you want to take a break from the surf, you'll have an amazing time here. Besides being across the street from one of Ericeira's best surf breaks, we are also across the street from a free outdoor gym with an ocean view. If you're into healthy mornings, this is the perfect place to start your day.
Want to continue your day in the same healthy mind frame? Then you have the cozy yoga shala at Ericeira Yoga Studio within a short walk.
Going in the other direction, you have the legendary skate park at Boardriders Ericeira. Boardriders is usually the place where everybody heads on Friday evenings. Live music, DJ sets, sunset drinks, skating, and dancing until you see the sun slowly disappear out in the shifting blue colors of the Atlantic.
To create a great vibe where everybody who stays here gets to know each other, we have a coliving WhatsApp group.

With 300 Mbps wifi speed and a dedicated coworking space, you can be confident that you'll have a productive time staying with us.
When you need to hammer out work we recommend the downstairs coworking area. Here you'll have adjustable ergonomic desks or cozy lounge chairs to choose from. If you instead prefer a bit more social work environment there are also tables and couches in our upstairs area.
Some of our private rooms come with desks and chairs, so if you have lots of calls or just prefer your own office type of vibes, then make sure you book one of those.

The Surf near Ericeira, Portugal
With its huge amount of surf breaks within a tiny coastal area, Ericeira is the number one surf destination in Europe. Staying with us it's very easy to make the most of it.
Across the street, you have the Matadouro surf spot. Consisting of a reef break, a point break, and a bay with plenty of whitewash for beginners, Matadouro is really a surf break that fits all levels. So if you don't want to venture out, you could really just surf Matadouro every day, and you'll have an amazing time. Actually, some people living here do just this.
However, since you made it all the way to Ericeira you would probably want to check out some other spots as well. Also within walking distance, you have the breaks; Praia Norte, Pedra Branca, and Reef. Unless the swell is particularly small, these spots are intermediate to advanced. No worries, if the swell is big and you are a beginner, the beginner-friendly harbor break; Praia dos Pescadores is a short walk away.
If you want to take lessons or need a surfboard to rent, we are happy to introduce you to surf schools and board rentals, all within a very short distance from the beach house.
Besides all of the above breaks, if you have a rental car, don't mind catching an Uber, or arrive during the summer when the beach bus runs, the options are endless. From the fun beach break of Sao Juliao south of Ericiera, to the World Surf League destination and Ericeira's most popular spot Ribeira de Illhas, and the heavy barrelling waves of Coxos.
